President / Owner
With a diversified background in employee benefits, group retirement and planning, Nick recognized the dire need to bring a higher level of personalized service to the financial services industry. After co-founding Calla Financial Services Ltd. with his wife Ida, Nick has sought to build his business by providing a workplace that attracts and retains quality employees. His approach to including employees as part of his family is also a process that his company adopts for its clients.
IDA SUE CALLA
Vice President / Owner
Ida brings more than 30 years of combined office management experience in her role as operations manager for Calla Financial Services Ltd. Before co-founding the company she worked in the insurance industry for over 12 years, cultivating a deep knowledge of the industry and building relationships. Her familiarity in organization development theories and methods benefit both the people working for Calla Financial Services Ltd. as well as the clients we provide services to.
Manager - Group Retirement, Licensed Financial Advisor
Amanda has been with Calla Financial Services Ltd. for nearly 8 years. Throughout this duration, Amanda has been a Licensed Financial Advisor providing services and support to all of our group retirement clients. In 2012 Amanda was appointed as Manager – Group Retirement. Amanda is currently working towards CEBS accreditation and an RPA designation through IFEBP. Amanda is a dedicated resource to plan members of our group retirement clients, providing personalized one on one planning assistance. Amanda is responsible for group retirement business development and ongoing group retirement service.
Amanda is a wife, mother of 2 and can be found on the soccer field, cheering for her kids on the sidelines or hiking the North Shore trails with her mini bull terrier Lucy.
CORY ST. JEAN
Manager - Group Benefits, Client Services
Corey comes to Calla Financial with over 15 years of experience in the employee benefits industry working with diverse employee groups in the credit union, professional association and multi-employer sectors.
He is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), a graduate of the BCIT Human Resource Management Program and believes strongly in lifelong learning.
Cory`s commitment to provide quality benefit plans that meets the needs of his clientele exemplifies his professionalism and expertise. He is passionate about putting the client first, working collaboratively with colleagues and building lasting relationships with all stakeholders. Cory’s professional motto is, “There Is Always A Better Way” and he applies that to all aspects of service delivery to clients.
Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Cory is a lifelong fan of the Winnipeg Jets, an avid curler and golfer, and enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends and solving puzzles of any kind.
Manager - Employee Benefits, Client Services
Leanne has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry working with major insurance companies. She is a licensed insurance advisor and has her GBA designation. Leanne is committed to providing the highest level of customer service and is also responsible for the development of new business.
Leanne lives in Coquitlam with her husband, two young daughters and dog, Duke. When she’s not at work you will find her enjoying the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Skiing, hiking, riding her bike and walking along the many spectacular trails the Lower Mainland has to offer are some of her favorite hobbies.
Service Coordinator - Group Benefits & Retirement, Licensed Financial Advisor
Over ten years of financial and administration experience working for a leading bank and a national insurance company allows Tiziana to provide sound guidance for all of our clients’ group benefits and retirement plan administration needs. As one of the senior representatives for Calla Financial Services Ltd., Tiziana’s professionalism and outgoing personality are of great benefit to our team and to our clients that require quick understanding of their questions as well as prompt solutions.
Her professional motto has always been, “The clients come first”.
Group Benefits Coordinator
Mina has more than 10 years of experience in the insurance industry working with major insurance companies such as Great West Life, Green Shield Canada, Sun Life and Manulife. Mina`s professionalism guarantees the most cost effective and compatible plans for her clients.
According to Mina, the finance industry is all about “building personal connections with clients” therefore she is willing to go above and beyond to strengthen relationships with them. She finds great job satisfaction knowing that she’s made her client’s life easier!
Life, Health & Benefits Coordinator
Jeff has been in financial services business since 1999. He started his career as a life and health service advisor in Israel and transferred his knowledge and experience to Canada in 2012. He is licensed to provide insurance since then.
Jeff`s expertise is guiding business owners to mitigate insurance related risks and challenges, delivering them insurance-related tax deduction techniques, and informing them about options to insure and protect themselves as they are the most valuable asset in the company. Jeff`s proactive approach gives a huge advantage to businesses for long-term success.
Jeff likes to travel and enjoys exploring hidden culinary gems for inspiration. He is a great cook and excited for the future travel opportunities to learn more about ancient and modern culinary practices.
AJ (Ece) BOZ
Marketing & Social Media Coordinator
AJ has built her career in sales with a variety of roles in several industries including tourism, aviation and transportation. After 7 years of experience, she has decided to shift her focus towards a career in marketing so she moved to Canada and enrolled in a Marketing Diploma at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She is responsible for the creation and management of all marketing activities and materials you can think of at Calla Financial.
AJ loves outdoors; she is a big camper and hiker. She supports Vancouver`s Greenest City goals therefore commutes with her bike as her primary mode of transportation. AJ also has a great passion for traveling, sustainable architecture, interior design and photography. According to her Vancouver is a great subject therefore you may come across her out on the street while bicycling and taking pictures, exploring the natural environment in Vancouver.
Cory comes to Calla with great enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn. He has just over 2 years’ experience in Accounting, and he takes pride in his accuracy and work ethic. Cory has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Simon Fraser University, and he is currently taking night classes at the UBCin Accounting Program Diploma. He plans on entering the CPA program once he is done with his education. At Calla Financial, Cory is responsible for all accounting activities, such as managing payroll, reconciling the bank accounts, paying the bills on a timely basis, and completing all journal entries into Simply Accounting.
Cory grew up in Kelowna, BC. He enjoys wake boarding, water skiing in the summer and a huge San Diego Chargers fan. Cory also loves cars so you can see him driving with his Mazda Miata around the city.
Marilyn is Calla Financial`s new Office Administrator and will welcome you to our office with her friendly smile and assist your phone calls with both courtesy and professionalism. She has more than 25 years of customer service in hospitality and liquor industries. She is an efficient worker and a great team member who coordinates everything in the office.
Marilyn is a long-time resident of the North Shore who is raising two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family and animals.
Richard is Calla Financial`s new intern and the youngest on the team. He assists the retirement department with day-to-day operations and any projects that arise.Richard currently is a student at Capilano University, Bachelor of Business Administration- concentrating on International Business and has only 3 semesters left to complete his degree.
Richard was born and raised in Burnaby, British Columbia. He enjoys being extremely active especially spending time in the outdoors, at the gym, playing or watching soccer and golf. Along with these activities he is also an enthusiastic traveller who has plans to travel the world one day.
