NICK CALLA
President
Nick Calla is a long term North Vancouver resident.
Nick believes that his insurance and retirement background and experience for 25 years will be viewed as an asset as he feels that his characteristics align well with the goal of his clients who wish to grow and enjoy success in their own way.
With a diversified background in employee benefits, group retirement and planning, Nick recognizes the need to bring a higher level of personalized service to the financial services industry. He is passionate about supporting the capacity of organizations and improving the lives of everyone he comes in contact with. Therefore, he has sought to build his business by providing a workplace that attracts and retains quality employees.

IDA SUE CALLA
Vice President
Ida brings over 30 years of combined office management, human resources, direct client servicing and finance experience in her role as operations manager for Calla Financial Services Ida also has industry negotiation skills as well in working closely with clients and insurance providers. Before co-founding the company, she worked in the insurance industry for over 12 years, cultivating a deep knowledge of the industry and building relationships. Her familiarity with organization development theories and methods benefit both the people working for Calla Financial Services as well as the clients we provide services to.

DENISE PERRY
Account Manager - Group Benefits
With over 33 years of experience in the insurance industry, Denise has built a career specializing in Group Benefits, working with both carriers and agencies. Like many in the field, Denise didn’t initially set out to work in insurance but discovered her passion for the industry through her diverse career journey.
After starting in U.S. politics, Denise returned to her home state of Washington and began her insurance career as an agent selling individual life insurance products. From there, she transitioned into the corporate side of the industry, where she developed her expertise in analysis and intelligence.
Denise has also pursued specialized education and training to better serve Indigenous communities, focusing on designing Group Benefit plans that align with the unique priorities and traditions of their members. Her dedication to creating tailored, culturally respectful solutions has been a hallmark of her career.
Outside of work, Denise enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with friends. During the summer, she loves hosting gatherings in her garden, combining her passion for entertaining with her green thumb.

KELSI-RAE BROSTL
Manager of Plan Member Services - Group Benefits
Kelsi is a Manager of Plan Member Services in Group Benefits at Calla Financial Services, where she supports both plan administration and member services. Her role spans assisting with implementation, responding to plan member inquiries, and helping train new team members.
Kelsi brings more than 10 years of group benefits experience, offering expertise and dependable guidance in her role. She is passionate about helping people, whether by listening, offering guidance, or finding practical solutions and she thrives in roles where she can make a real difference in someone’s day.
Kelsi is especially proud of the family she has built and the meaningful work she contributes to every day. For her, this work matters because it allows her to support others in tangible ways, improving experience and outcomes for the businesses and individuals Calla Financial serves.

SARAH WOLFE
Manager of Plan Member Services - Group Retirement
As Manager of Plan Member Services – Group Retirement at Calla Financial Services, Sarah is the primary point of contact for members navigating their pension programs. She supports members with their retirement plans, coordinates with carriers, and manages day-to-day administration to ensure each interaction is clear, respectful, and helpful.
Sarah brings experience from both third-party administration and claims adjudication, along with a strong background in customer service across a variety of industries. This diverse experience has shaped her approach to being responsive, resourceful, and deeply member focused.
Sarah is passionate about advocating for plan members and is dedicated to making sure each person feels supported and understood. Whether assisting with forms, answering questions, or guiding someone through their pension, she approaches every interaction with care and clarity.

MELISSA CRITCHLOW
Marketing Specialist
With over 8 years of experience in marketing and a background in creative writing, Melissa brings a warm, thoughtful approach to her work with Calla Financial. She’s passionate about helping people feel informed, supported, and empowered, especially when it comes to navigating financial decisions that impact their families, goals, and peace of mind.
Melissa is known for her grounded presence, collaborative spirit, and ability to translate complex ideas into clear, approachable content. At Calla, she supports everything from communications strategy and social media to educational content and campaign development, all with a focus on clarity, trust, and care.
She believes that good marketing doesn’t just sell, it serves. By centering values like integrity, accessibility, and connection, Melissa helps ensure that Calla’s message reflects its commitment to putting people first.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, painting, and recharging in nature especially near the ocean or among the trees.

DOMINIC CHARLIE
Advisor
As an Advisor with Coastal Financial Solutions, Dominic supports the team by leveraging his experience in helping organizations and individuals achieve financial security through revenue generation and financial management. Since founding his own business consulting company in 2017, he has built a strong network across industries including natural resource management, renewable energy, real estate development, hospitality, and innovative waste management.
With a top-down approach to understanding needs and creating strategic pathways forward, Dominic contributes valuable insight and connections that help strengthen Calla Financial’s ability to deliver effective financial solutions.
